New age new hair

I went into the salon and asked the hairstylist to give me a nice nice fresh look with my current hair length. She did her magic and this is what she came out with......

I luv it to bits!!!

Birthday Celebration

Here are photos of my birthday celebration. We had dinner at WhiteHouse at Oriental Bay. It was absolutely divine!

at the entrance

The setting

The view

Entree: Warm Thai beef salad served with chilli jam dressing (Doreen's)

Entree: Grilled octopus, smoked tomato, hummus, and rocket salad (Rick's)

Enjoying my beef salad

Something complimentary. Not sure what it is called. It is lemon lime jelly with some sort of bubble on top. Very nice! Probably to refresh our taste to prepare for the mains.

Main: Char grilled salmon on wasabi mash with tamari and macadamia nut sauce (rick's)

Main: Sautéed Snaper served over cauliflower purée, prawn sauce and prawn emulsion (Doreen's)

Dessert: Selection of seasonal sorbets. Notice the smoke/dry ice. Impressive presenation (Rick's)

Dessert: Vanilla crème brûlée with spiced biscuits. I luv the candy frost on top! (Doreen's)

Cake cutting ceremony at home. More dessert (^_^)

On a lighter note, my sis in law made this birthday card for me, in my favourite colours! It's so sweet and so ME!! Thank you Irene! (^_^)

A special day, for me

Today is my day. It's the day about me, myself and Doreen. It's the day which I feel like a princess. It's the day I can be demanding and selfish for all I care. It happens only once a year and today is the only once a lifetime.....

Early bird

I was the first in the office (well, first on my floor) this morning. I'm not a workaholic ok. It's just that I needed to leave early today.

Anyway, it was pitch black and a total silence and it felt good turning on the light switches. Hehehehe

On a separate note, as I was telling Rick about cutting my hair this coming weekend, this is the reaction I got...

Don't ask me why.

My 1st kid's party

Attended my colleague's daughter, Genevieve 1st birthday. There were so many kids. They're undoubtedly adorable and energetic. I did feel a little out of place however (hey, it's my 1st kid's party!).

I had a good time :)

Double celebration? Well, not really (^_^)

Lunch at Catch Sushi today. It is a belated personal treat from Rick, celebrating the end of my misery i.e. study. And, just as well today is the birthday of my dear Miri babe, Alicia.

So, Happy Birthday Alicia!

Make the most of your last birthday as a single eh? Wrong! Legally, it should be your first birthday as a wife! Hehehe. See, I'm also celebrating your special day by having a sushi feast! Lame excuse I know. I just wanna eat my heart out. Haha!

Pelorus Trust Sky Show

We enjoyed a 15-mins of flame at Wellington harbour last night in celebrating Guy Fawkes Day.

We had been, from the past, enjoying this once a year event from a far far away spot. This time round, we wanted to feel the bang. So we took a stroll to the harbour with Irene and Kuok.

It was a windy night. (What do you expect, it's Wellington!)

The moon was full and bright, and clear too (ok, my photo doesn't do it justice)

The newly revamped Wellington harbour

People waiting for the boom.....

We were waiting too.....

Fireworks started at 9pm sharp

The "BANG" really gets into the heart I tell you

The finale wowed the crowd. I was too busy staring (I didn't want to miss any single bit you see) that I forgot to take a pic of it (-_-). Nevermind, next year then!

After just a stir, the traffic light is gone! It looks rather awful. Kanasai

Hell's condom mailshot

Kennysia.com raves about Hell pizza in his latest post mainly talks about their atypical marketing strategies.

Hell went even further to promote their meat-lovers' pizza, Lust with a mail drop of branded condom packets in Wellington, which has provoked ire from some conservatives residents.

According to Dominion Post, Hell had so far received about 100 complaints since the promotion lunched on Wednesday. What? The promotion started on Wed? Why didn't I receive any? Where is mine?? I want too…. TO TAKE PHOTO OF IT and post it here of course (don't think too far eh?) No condom, no photo so have to steal it from Dominion Post (-_-)

I don't really see what the big fuss about this promotion is. So what you receive a promotional condom in your mailbox. There's nothing wrong with it. It's a healthy message – safe sex. There's nothing to be ashamed of and it is not disgusted. It is only disgusted when you contracted sexual diseases like...AIDS!

One of the resident said it was inappropriate to deliver condoms through the mail, where young children might collect them. "I don't want to have to explain to an 11-year-old exactly what it is," she said. Well, please allow me to say "Don't be naive!" The 11-year-old's mind nowadays is not as simple as you think. That's the age when they are curious about this thing, and it's better to educate them now than leaving them to go through the "adventure" themselves. That's what I think anyway.

By the way, exam is over!! Woohoo!! YAY!! \(^0^)/

Celebration tonight!!

Candy Pinky Christmas?

Taking a break from my study

I saw this pink Christmas tree when I was out and about last week.

Sweet and romantic isn't it?
